Best Master Thesis in Economics

The Department of Economics is announcing a competition for the best Master thesis within the field of economics. This award is presented once a year and the winning prize is NOK 10,000.

The winner will also be invited to present the thesis at the department's annual faculty seminar. The prize may be awarded to students from any master profile at NHH, but the thesis must be written within the field of economics.

"We are announcing this competition to encourage students to write a good master thesis, and it is also a good opportunity for us to make people aware of all the really good work that is being done", says Department Head Bertil Tungodden.

The thesis must have been submitted for grading within the past twelve months. The deadline for entering the competition is 1st July 2008. Please submit your thesis to Turid Elvebakk (Department of Economics, office C302).

The winning prize and diploma will be announced after 1st September 2008. A committee appointed by the Department of Economics will review the incoming papers.
