Nobel prize winner Professor Finn E Kydland will give two lectures at NHH next week, one at a Finance|Bergen seminar and one at a joint seminar between the Departments of Finance and Economics.
06.09.2013 - Ed.
Finn E Kydland holds positions as Professor at Carnegie Mellon University and University of California, Santa Barbara, and is Adjunct Professor at NHH.
In 2004 he was awarded, alongside Edward C. Prescott, the Sveriges Riksbanks Prize in Economic Sciences in Memory of Alfred Nobel (informally known as the 'Nobel Prize in Economics') "for contributions to dynamic macroeconomics: the time consistency of economic policy and the driving forces behind business cycles".
Kydland's current research focuses on how politicians should establish and communicate regulations for areas of political practice. Such regulations can contribute to the general public placing greater trust in political institutions.
