New PhD Students at NHH

This autumn, we are welcoming 17 new PhD Students at NHH. They are from seven different nations, only four of them are Norwegian.

Johan Mellberg from Gothenburg in Sweden will do his PhD at the Department of Finance. He holds a Master Degree in Economics and Finance from the University of Gothenburg.

- I chose to apply to NHH partly because the institution has a good reputation, and was recommended by my supervisor in Gothenburg, and partly because I was curious to see Bergen. The city has a convenient size and is located at the West Coast, just like Gothenburg.

What kind of research topics will you be working on for the next four years here at NHH?
- My research orientation is still a bit uncertain, but it will definitely include some incentive theory or game theory.
