NHH keeps its position
NHH is ranked as number 44 in the Financial Times' annual ranking of the best business schools in Europe.

That is down two places from last year's ranking.
"NHH holds its position at a time of increasing competition. This ranking summarizes five sub-rankings produced by Financial Times. This year, we were only eligible to take part in three rankings. That is the main reason that we aren't placed higher on the list, says rector Frøystein Gjesdal.
To take part in the sub-rankings Financial Times (FT) has requirements regarding the number of respondents in the questionnaire surveys. The Executive MBA programmes at NHH have small classes and the response rate therefore needs to be high to take part in the ranking.
"Financial Times shows that NHH provides internationally competitive education programmes. Still, the FT-ranking is not the most important benchmark for NHH. We are constantly striving to improve in many areas of education and research. Some of these efforts will help us in the rankings, while others are unlikely to give any effect because the results are not captured by FT indicators", says Gjesdal.
This year, HEC Paris was awarded the top spot in the ranking, followed by IE Business School and London Business School in second and third place. The best Nordic school is Stockholm School of Economics at number 21. In total, 75 European business schools were included in the ranking.

NHH did particularly well on the ranking of open programs, Executive Education, where NHH/AFF was number 17 in Europe.
NHH was ranked as number 61 in the world in Masters in Management programs. See article in Paraplyen
Department of Economics at NHH was number seven in FT's list of the top ten business schools in the teaching of economics.
