New Assistant Professor

Assistant Professor Cornelius Schmidt (30) has joined the Department of Finance.

Schmidt was born in Wiesbaden, Germany. He arrived at NHH 1 August.

He completed a PhD at the Swiss Finance Institute and the University of Lausanne in June. Schmidt's research focuses on corporate governance.

"I decided to come to NHH because it's a productive, nice and ambitious group of people working here. NHH also offers a very good research environment, including lots of interesting seminars," says Schmidt.

He is enjoying Norway so far.

"I have already been to the Hardangerfjord and I visited Rosendal and Jondal. It was very impressive," says Schmidt.
