Assistant Professor positions in financial accounting, auditing, management accounting or law

The Norwegian School of Economics and Business Administration (NHH) in Bergen, Norway invites applications for assistant professor positions in the Department of Accounting, Auditing and Law.

The positions are for 4 years, and will allow for opportunities to qualify for permanent positions at a higher level.

The positions will involve teaching at the average of two courses per year (90 teaching hours) and some additional graduate supervision within the department.

Currently the department has 6 full professors, 6 associate professors and 4 assistant professors. In addition 26 professors and associate professors are affiliated to the department in adjunct positions.

NHH is strongly dedicated to research, and therefore primarily seeks applicants from top international schools. Applicants should have a strong research record or potential, as demonstrated by existing papers or a dissertation.

Applicants are expected to have research interest in financial accounting, including financial statement analysis and valuation, auditing, management accounting or law.

Applicants should have completed-or be close to completing- a PhD in financial accounting, auditing, management accounting or other adjacent areas. The PhD must be completed by the appointment date. For further information about the positions, see our website www.nhh.no.

Salary is negotiable according to Norwegian State Salary Scale assistant professors. Applicants are requested to present a research project plan with their application. The research plan must specify a four-year research project in financial accounting (including financial statement analysis and valuation), auditing, management accounting or law.

Emphasis will be placed on the applicant's research profile and ability to contribute to the research environment at the department.

Information concerning professional and teaching education and work experience must be included as well as a list of all publications, testimonials, certificates, and any other documentation which may be useful in the evaluation of the application, such as reference letters.
