Tor W. Andreassen elected for office at INFORMS

NHH Professor Tor W. Andreassen has been elected President for the Service Science Section of INFORMS, from 2015.

The Institute for Operations Research and the Management Sciences (INFORMS) is the largest society in the world for professionals in the field of operations research (O.R.), management science, and analytics. INFORMS has a subgroup focusing on service. This is the group Tor Andreassen will be heading.

Mission of the Service Science Section
The mission of the INFORMS Section on Service Science is to promote and disseminate research and applications among professionals interested in theory, methodologies, and applications in Service Science, which cuts across the fields of services business strategy and modeling, service operations research and management, information systems, marketing science and analytics, management science, e-commerce and e-business, industrial engineering, and social and cognitive science.

In this office Andreassen will be part of the editorial board of the Service Science Section, which is responsible for the Journal of Service Science.

At NHH Andreassen is Managing Director at the Center for Service Innovation (CSI).
