Life is a lab
Wednesday, 29 January, all NHH-students and employees are invited to "Life is a Lab" in the Aula, NHH.

The background for the event is the prize for quality of education that Alexander Cappelen and Bertil Tungodden received in December 2013. The jury emphasized that the course takes research-based education seriously by letting the students read original research papers and by letting them execute research that is based on what they have read. Dean and ChoiceLab-researcher, Kjetil Bjorvatn says that this is an event where they will try to bring the research to the students, as the jury emphasized when NHH recieved the prize.
Research-based teaching is diversified, but one way of doing it, is to let the students themselves participate in the experiments like we do in the ChoiceLab experiments. I think it is very motivating for the students to participate in these kinds of experiments during their education period. I hope this might motivate some of them to choose a future research career.
Uri Gneezy and John List are pioneers in the field of economics. They have recently written the book: The Why Axis: Hidden Motives and the Undiscovered Economics of Everyday Life.
