NHH amongst the world's top 60

NHH and AFF are no. 51 on the Financial Times' (FT) latest ranking of the best open executive development programmes in the world.

In the FT ranking NHH and AFF are represented by AFF's Solstrand Programme, AFF Young Leaders and NHH's Corporate Finance, among others.

"Bearing in mind that there are 650 accredited business schools around the world, this is an excellent score. In this ranking we are compared with elite schools like Harvard, MIT and Insead, and we have certainly held our ground", says Rector Frøystein Gjesdal at NHH.

Once again Switzerland's IMD, which specialises in executive education, is reigning supreme at the top of the list.

"The battle for a place on this list gets tougher each year, and many institutions tailor their programmes with the FT rankings in mind. This year's figures reveal that NHH and AFF have the third best programme in the Nordic region. Our goal is to be the best in our part of the world," says Gjesdal.

In the ranking FT measures the quality of open, non-degree executive development programmes based on feedback from participants and the institutions' self-assessment. This year NHH ranks six places lower than last year.

"One area where we scored best in this year's ranking is academic content. The participants confirm that we deliver high quality and state that the courses are useful. This is particularly pleasing to hear," says Gjesdal.

The Financial Times also ranks corporate in-house programmes. Here NHH is in 78th place.
