Frøystein Gjesdal elected rector

Frøystein Gjesdal will become the new rector at NHH and Sunniva Whittaker the new deputy rector.

The Gjesdal/Whittaker candidate team won by 66.5 percent of the votes.

Their main focus areas are organisational structures, master programmes, internationalisation and research.

"I am delighted to have been elected NHH's rector for the next four year period. We would like to thank everybody who has participated in the election," says Gjesdal.a

The Norman/Stensaker team received 32.5 per cent of the votes.

1024 people voted in the election.

Permanent employees in teaching and research positions:
171 votes
Team Gjesdal: 81.9 per cent
Team Norman: 17 per cent
Blank ballots: 1.2 per cent

Technical and administrative employees
116 votes
Team Gjesdal: 69 per cent
Team Norman: 30.2 per cent
Blank ballots: 0.9 per cent

Students:
737 votes
Team Gjesdal: 20.6 per cent
Team Norman: 78.7 per cent
Blank ballots: 0.7 per cent
