Position as Professor/Associate Professor in Management Science (Quantitative Energy Analysis) at NHH
NHH (The Norwegian School of Economics and Business Administration), Department of Finance and Management Science invites application for the position of Professor/Associate Professor in Management Science.

Currently the department has 22 full professors, 15 associate professors and 5 post doctorates. In addition, 15 professors and associate professors are affiliated to the department in adjunct positions. The Department participates in several of the degree programs offered by the School, at the bachelor, master and the doctorate levels, and in a number of executive master programs.
Applicants must have general competence in Management Science or Economics and special competence in Quantitative Energy Analysis. Applicants should have a broad background in Energy Economics and in-depth knowledge of some sub-field of Energy and Environmental Markets. In addition, it is required that applicants have conducted research which is relevant in business. It is important that the applicant has conducted research where theories, models, analyses or results have practical relevance for individual firms. Applicants whose background within Energy Economics is complementary to that of the existing faculty will be given preference.
The applicants will be assessed based on an overall evaluation of documented professional competence. Scientific competence will be evaluated in terms of the amount and quality of international publications.
Faculty members at the Norwegian School of Economics and Business Administration are expected to be good teachers. In assessing the applicants' pedagogical qualifications, the evaluation committee will consider experience in teaching and student supervision, the quality of teaching material produced by the applicant, and other relevant documentation that demonstrates pedagogical qualifications. In addition to submitting written documentation, possible appointees will be required to meet for an interview, and to give a trial lecture and/or a seminar.
The appointee is expected to be involved in teaching and student supervision in degree programs at all levels. In particular, teaching and supervision of master and doctoral students who specialize in Energy, Natural Resources, and the Environment will be important tasks.

Salary is negotiable according to the Norwegian State Salary Scale for Professor or Associate Professor. The school offers favourable membership in the Norwegian Public Service Pension Fund, generous research funds for travelling and conference participation, and bonus systems for publication in international refereed journals. In particular, publications in selected A-journals are currently rewarded with the equivalent of € 9.000.
The appointee must comply with the guidelines that apply to the position at any time. The appointee may also be required to enroll in a pedagogical course of short duration.
A doctorate degree from an accredited school is required.
