Post Doctoral Research Fellow position

A position as Post Doctoral Research Fellow in "Strategy and management - Business model innovation in services" is available at the Center for Service Innovation (CSI), Norwegian School of Economics (NHH) for a period of 3 years. Applicants must have completed, or be close to completing, their PhD in an area of research with relevance to service innovation and document the ability to publish in international, first-rate journals. The PhD must be completed by the appointment date.

Center for Service Innovation (CSI) is a coordinated effort by the Norwegian School of Economics and Business Administration (NHH) to focus the innovation challenges facing the service sector. CSI aims to enhance the innovation capabilities of its business and academic partner and includes researchers from all NHH Departments.

CSI is funded through an 80 Mill NOK grant from the Research Council of Norway and has recently obtained status as a Center for Research-based Innovation (SFI). The Center is part of the NHH2021 initiative to position NHH as one of the top European business schools by 2021.

CSI's business partners include, among others, Telenor, DnB NOR, Posten, Storebrand, Tryg, EDBErgoGroup and PwC. The national research partners are NHH, SNF, AHO and SINTEF.

The position is part of the CSI-themes "Business model innovations" and "Open and co-created service innovation processes" (see www.nhh.no/csi for more information). Research qualifications must be demonstrated in areas of innovation strategy, innovation management or innovation policy/studies. Candidates documenting research with relevance to firm level innovation management, innovation strategy or service innovation capability will be preferred.

CSI research is conducted in close collaboration with CSI business partners, and applicants must demonstrate good interpersonal as well as written and verbal communication skills. Applicants with a good understanding of business working practices and communication skills in Norwegian will be preferred.

The annual salary for the position is negotiable within the Norwegian State Salary Scale for Post Doctoral Research Fellow. The scholarships are subject to Norwegian taxes and benefits, including health care provision and membership of the Norwegian Public Service Pension Fund.

The proposal must specify a three-year research project in "Strategy and management - Business model innovation in services" and be coordinated with the relevant themes of the CSI proposal found at www.nhh.no/csi . Information concerning professional and teaching education and work experience must be included as well as a list of all publications, testimonials, certificates, and any other documentation which may be useful in the evaluation of the application, such as reference letters and publications. In the event of equivalent qualifications, female applicants will be given preference.
