The anniversary week has started

Orkla's CEO and NHH staff are answering in this picture to the questions from the floor.

Yesterday, Monday 5 September, has started the NHH's 75 anniversary week with the NHH Forum and its corporate partner this year - Orkla. NHH will be celebrating the whole week that promises to be an exciting one with events coming in many forms, including the visit of the King of Norway on Wednesday.

The NHH Forum was opened in the NHH's aula with the rector's speech who welcomed the participants and presented the week's anniversary program.

Orkla's presentation

This year's forum title was "Long term value creation in Orkla" and was debated by Orkla's representatives, NHH staff and students.

Bjørn M.Wiggen, the Orkla's CEO and a former NHH student as well, presented the Orkla's group and portofolio. Further presentations included the values and the strategic direction that the company is currently following, Orkla's growth story and the major developments that marked since its beginnings, and the value creation model.

The event continued with three of the NHH professors' comments on Wiggen's lecture. Some of the questions that have arisen were related to the dynamic decision making at Orkla and synergies 'achievements. The debates also included questions from the floor.

Student Adebayo Yussuf Bakare thinks that the presentation was relevant: "It was interesting because the chosen theme "Long term vale creation" is one of my areas of interest and what we studied in the courses at school was confirmed here."

"The discussion about the headquarters was really interesting and it is benefic to hear different points of view. It is good that NHH brings the companies in contact with the students, and it is even better that you can get answers directly from the CEO", says Tory Sigmond, MIB student from US.

The NHH Forum event was concluded in the student canteen where the participants met for more informal discussions.

The anniversary week continues today with the Street Art Conference that will be held from 10:00 in the NHH's Aula.
