New FT rankings: NHH stands firm
"NHH stands firm in a tougher market" says Rector Jan I. Haaland on the Financial Times ranking released on Monday.

NHH is ranked 33rd in this year's ranking of the 50 best pre-experience Master in Management programmes. This is one place better than in 2007.
"We have improved a little over last year's ranking, and we are very happy with that. This ranking by the FT is the most important for NHH as it measures the Master of Science programme, which is our flagship product."
Haaland also emphasises the good placement achieved by CEMS. More and more NHH students choose to take the international CEMS Master in International Management programme that NHH has developed together with other leading European business schools.
"The CEMS MIM programme has done very well over a number of years, and this year it is in the rankings in a very solid third place."
Attractive candidates
This year's FT ranking is topped by HEC Paris, followed by ESCP-EAP European School of Management and CEMS. The best Nordic programme is from Stockholm School of Economics in twelfth place.
NHH scored especially well in factors linked to job opportunities and employment in the national labour market, while international mobility amongst graduates remains relatively low.
"Our main challenge in this ranking is that too few Norwegian graduates look for jobs abroad. The number of international students at NHH is increasing and we provide students with good opportunities for international experience during their studies, but we are weaker when it comes to international mobility amongst Norwegian students after they have graduated," says Haaland.
NHH was also ranked in third place overall for Economics and amongst the top ten for graduate salaries within the finance and consulting sectors.
