Focus on Career Day
On Thursday, a wide variety of companies will attend the annual Career Day. This year, NHH will focus on marketing the PhD program as an attractive career choice for NHH students and, among other things, will hold a Women's Seminar.

Along with 70 other companies, NHH will set up a stand to profile academic career possibilities for those NHH candidates searching for jobs.
"The stand will be staffed with people from various academic environments, some research fellows, in addition to representatives from the Office of Student and Academic Affairs. We will create awareness among students that this is a valid career choice," explains Eivind Drange from the Office of Student and Academic Affairs.
Women's Seminar
In line with the college's efforts to recruit more women, NHH will also hold a separate Women's Seminar on Career Day. Here, female NHH students will give insight into how an academic career could evolve within academia, but also open doors into the business sector.
From NHH: dean Anna Mette Fuglseth, professor Mette Bjørndal, and research fellow Therese Sverdrup will share their experiences; and managing director Kristijane Cook Bulukin from Amesto Business Partner will talk about what a PhD education means for a career in the business sector.
"I think it is very positive that NHH will be recruiting at Career Day. There have been many offers given to students from the business community in the past. However, times may become a bit more difficult, so I think it is positive that NHH is using this opportunity to market itself," says Torill Nikø, leader of Career Day 2008.
Panel debate
Career Day 2008 begins at 09:00 on Thursday morning, and the companies will be present at their stands all throughout the day. At 12:30 an internship presentation will be held in Dag Coward's auditorium.
At 16:15 this year's popular lecture will also be held in Dag Coward's auditorium. It will consist of a panel debate, where President and CEO Rune Bjerke of DnB NOR, Senior Economist Harald Magnus Andreassen from First Securities and investor Idar Vollvik will discuss the ongoing financial crisis. The debate will be led by NHH professor Ola H. Grytten.
The Women's Seminar will last from 14:30-16:00 in the meeting room on the 9th floor of the main building. Snacks will be served.
