Post Doctoral Fellow

The Norwegian School of Economics and Business Administration (NHH) in Bergen, Norway (www.nhh.no) invites applications for the position as post doctoral fellow in the Department of Strategy and Management.

The position is for four years, and will allow for opportunities to qualify for permanent positions at a higher level. The position will involve teaching at the average of two courses per year (90 teaching hours) and some additional graduate supervision within the department.

NHH is strongly dedicated to research and therefore primarily seeks applicants with a strong research record or potential, as demonstrated by existing papers or a dissertation, and ideally by publications in first-rate journals. Applicants should have research interests in ICT support of managerial decision-making and organisational learning and/or in the implementation and use of enterprise systems.

Applicants should have completed - or be close to completing - a Ph.D. in Information Systems. The PhD must be completed by the appointment date.

In the event of equivalent qualifications, female applicants will be given preference.

Salary will be negotiable according to the State Salary Scale for post doctor positions. NHH offers favourable membership in the Norwegian Public Service Pension Fund, generous research funds for travelling and conference participation, and bonus systems for publication in international refereed journals. In particular, publications in selected A-journals are currently rewarded with the equivalent of USD 12 000.

Applicants are requested to present a research project plan with their application. The research plan must specify a four-year research project in the relevant field. The project will be a part of NHHs strategy to significantly strengthen its research within the next four years. Emphasis will be placed on the applicant's research profile and ability to contribute to the research environment. Information concerning professional and teaching education and work experience must be included as well as a list of all publications, testimonials, certificates, and any other documentation which may be useful in the evaluation of the application, such as reference letters.
