"We have high ambitions and the ranking is a signal that we are on the right track. At the same time it shows that we must work much harder to achieve our long-term goals", says Rector Jan I. Haaland.

55 of Europe's leading business schools are included in the ranking, which is based on the aggregated, weighted results from four programme-related rankings carried out by the FT in 2006. NHH took part in one of these programme-related rankings.

"The only programme NHH has been measured for is the Master of Science programme, which was rated one of the top 25 programmes in Europe by the Financial Times in September" says Haaland.

"The Master of Science programme is NHH's main product, and the Masters in Management ranking gives a more balanced picture of our position in the European market. We of course want to move higher up in both this ranking and the aggregated ranking. Our goal is to be amongst the best in Europe", continues Haaland.

The FT European Business Schools 2006 list is lead by HEC Paris, with London Business School in second place and IMD in third place. The whole list can be viewed here.
